Very often, I see female founders and CEO’s overlooked for peer groups. I am quite the opposite and intentionally source and invite women founders and CEOs into my peer advisory group. When women are part of the conversation, the room gets clearer, kinder, and more effective. I have intentionally curated a group of exceptional men and women—because a thoughtful blend of perspectives helps all of us lead better.

Why women in the room change the room.

• Vulnerability that invites honesty. When one of us shares our fears, our challenges, our uncertainty, it gives everyone permission to be candid—and that’s where insight lives.
• Everyday EQ. Empathy and attune help us listen to past assumptions, ask about feelings and emotions about it, and land on wiser next steps.
• Fewer blind spots. Different lived experiences widen the lens for all genders and help decisions to be more grounded and durable.
• Culture that feels healthy. Care and accountability can coexist; female leaders often help us hold both with grace.
• Follow-through that fits real life. Many female leaders have the responsibility of juggling scale and family; they must constantly make choices, define priorities, and enforce boundaries- actions the whole table benefits from.
